Hidden gems in Domburg

Away from the busy centre, Domburg has monuments that many visitors simply walk past.

Villa Carmen Sylva: in the dunes stands Villa Carmen Sylva, an elegant summer residence from 1885 designed by Johannes van Nieukerken; it is not open to visitors, but makes a lovely sight on a dune walk.
Water tower: in the middle of the De Manteling nature area rises the 28.5 metre Water Tower from 1933, its copper roof shaped like a British soldier's helmet.
Weltevreden mill: on the edge of Domburg stands Weltevreden Mill, a round brick corn mill from 1817 that turns regularly thanks to a volunteer miller.
Bust of Dr Mezger: on the small square 't Groentje, the Bust of Dr Mezger honours the Amsterdam physiotherapist who played a key role in the history of the seaside resort.
Old town hall: on the Markt you will find the Old Town Hall from 1567 with its two stepped gables, the oldest building in the village after the Johanneskerk.
